About
462 Society is a nonprofit organization organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization exists to provide educational assistance, promote volunteerism, and foster community partnerships that strengthen individuals and neighborhoods throughout the greater Long Beach region.
Through structured programming, collaborative partnerships, and community-centered initiatives, 462 Society works to expand access to learning opportunities, encourage civic engagement, and advance equitable outcomes for underserved populations.
Our work is guided by the S.M.A.R.T.E.R. framework—Science, Math, Art, Recreation, Technology, Economics, and Restorative Justice Programs—which integrates academic learning with practical skills, creative expression, and community accountability to support holistic development and long-term success.
